Penguin Computing's Altus 3600 is our most capable AMD Opteron-based server platform for both high-performance computing and enterprise applications. Built with four Opteron 8000 series Dual Core CPUs, this system provides impressive computing performance. Equally substantial is the 128GB maximum memory capacity which is the highest in its class. The Altus 3600 also provides multiple PCI Express and PCI-X expansion slots for storage and networking options. In addition, the Altus 3600 includes integrated IPMI 2.0 management capabilities for remote console access, power control and server health monitoring. Like all Penguin systems, the Altus 3600 has been designed and tested for Linux compatibility.
